This Community Center Capital Campaign is the Campaign for all. Supporters of this project range in age from 20s to Seniors and gifts range from $25 to $2M. Gifts of all sizes count to bring this exciting community center to Upper Arlington. Funds were raised from the sale of Lazarus blue bricks that once stood on the property at Kingsdale, from an anonymous challenge gift that matched all gifts of $5,000 and less until December 2022, from funds contributed to the future mosaic that will hang in the community center for all to enjoy, and by dedicated community members committed to make the dream of a community center a reality. For decades, residents have envisioned a gathering space for our community. On May 4, 2021, residents came together and overwhelmingly voted YES for a community center. Now we have the exciting opportunity of fulfilling those wishes. This is an exciting UA moment, of which we can all be a part.
The Upper Arlington Community Foundation is proud to partner with the City of UA to bring residents a long-awaited community center. The UA Community Center Capital Campaign Committee is working toward securing $8M in private funds to support this exciting project. The UA moment has arrived.
Amenities include: indoor pool, multi-purpose event/ program space, locker rooms, fitness and exercise space, three gymnasiums (one multi-purpose), children play area, teen space, child watch, walking/ running track, senior programming, shared classrooms, event hall/ meeting space, and outdoor multi-purpose terrace
